Before showing you the following information about Enmaco, it is important to know :

1.
The official registered group had been closed down by the Patron and the chairman, because of too demanding involvements of different governmental department (of the old Moi Government) and a lot of misunderstandings in this aspect.
2.
The basic group does still exist and has never stopped working. Most of the members are at LMagiro-Farm, many all over Malindi, one in Maralal, a few even in Germany. Members of the LMagiro-Farm Club are automatically members of Enmaco.
3.
As soon as Silvia Pirelli is returning back to Kenya - the group shall once again be registered. In the meantime, work goes on, because Enmaco is a way of living and thinking and not only a registered group.
4.
As soon as the group is registered again, we will add other information and membership application forms etc.

The community based environmental conservation Malaria/Mosquito control group

What is Enmaco?

The base of this group, the founders, the commitee and it's founding members are people of all walks of life with one single common goal and conviction. To work voluntarily together with the community to better the situation of our environment and therefore also the situation of health i.e. Malaria / Mosquito control.

All effort shall be made to create awareness amongst the public for the necessity to conserve our environment, to protect nature and it's wildlife.

We shall heavily and seriously follow up any activities against environment such as chemical and other poisonous wast-dumping, might it be on land or in water. We shall find ways of stopping the use of plastic bags, which are changing and destroying our landscapes and killing wildlife on land and in the ocean.

We shall work very closely together with the Kenyan Wildlife Service and advise the public against buying or selling any sort of environmental damaging souvenirs to the tourists, such as ivory, skins, hairbracelets coralls, shells etc. (criminal activities shall be followed up and reported). We shall when necessary, work together with the different Ministries and Municipal Council Departments, seek advice and suport from other environmental NGO´s, or research groups such as "Kemri", but we shall always resist any form of political influence. Also we shall never accept donations from companies or individuals, who are in any way involved in violating environmental laws.

Enmaco promotes equity and social justice, economic and environmental livelihood of both the members and the community. Their activities are financed through membership fees and monthly subscriptions, through sales of different items in our proposed Enmaco-Info-Shop (picture down) and hopefully soon enough through the sale of our little newsletter (we shall inform you). But mostly - Enmaco means You - we need every single one of you, sometimes as volunteer, to help us with your skills, materials, or simply to cut grass (clean up with us, side by side). If you do not have the time to be an activist - we need you as a paying member - through the fees you will enable us to do the work that is needed to be done and to finance awareness materials, to finance the tools to be distributed to our subgroups (which we are slowly forming) so the work can be done even in the remote areas.

What is the Enmaco sign standing for?

It is an eagle, which stands for freedom, with the sun in the middle and the five heads of that eagle, each showing a problem we will fight for (against)

Environment - Wildlife - Health - Poverty - Illiteracy

The claws stand for the energy and even sometimes the force we will need to use, to achieve our goals. The commitment each member has to make, is to ensure that he/she is always aware of the seriousness of our tasks.
