Dear friends - Kenia fans and to all new - comers....

Surely you will wonder why we have written our homepage in english only. It does not have to be a lot, but a little you should be able to understand and speak, if you want to move into the country side of Kenya and live with us a few weeks. So, it will be expected and we shall start with it right now !!! Even a few words in Kisuaheli you should know before you start your safari into adventure.

So, what is LMagiro-Farm ???

LMagiro is maasai language and means eagle - it actually happened to a group of visitors - just sitting with us outside around a table having breakfast - when an eagle passed very low, up the way towards the table, passing nearly 2 meters besides us , about 1 meter above the ground. Even me, and I am used to a lot of strange things, I was openmouthed ...only to realize later, that he was most probably after our small black cat. (he did not get it) But things like that can happen all the time. You will live with the nature - and only nature - in a tent or in a room.. You will learn how to be quite, how to live without all those "things" that only distract you from finding again your natural instincts. Birdwatchers, naturally know all this already - and look at the List Of Birds - you will know what to expect and may be you might find some new birds that we have missed to see.
Always I explain to people, that we are very selective ... well ... our guests should be at least interested in environmental protection, physically fit, not hysterical about insects and snakes and ready to learn about our work. But defenately, seldom you will find a place where so many things are combined into one area. Beauty, wilderness, peace, adventure and contact to real people.
